the serenity of the place was amazing and the staff were incredible. the chalets at Nyala Lodge were lovely and spacious, perfect for self-catering. I enjoyed watching buck and wild animals roam free around the lodge. the views from the viewing deck were breathtaking, especially with the lovely breeze coming in. the game drive in the morning and the Nyala Trail walk later in the day were enjoyable activities. My daughter had a great time playing in the pool and jungle gym right outside our room. the lodge is also conveniently located near Hluhluwe town and reserve, making it easy to explore the area. it was a fantastic experience. Cons: Nothing, all was good 😊.

We loved staying at this hidden gem in the bush. the location is perfect, offering a feeling of isolation while still being easily accessible from the highway. the wooden bridge that connects the lodges adds a fantastic touch, making you feel like you're walking among the trees. the viewing deck for animals is a great spot to enjoy a cup of tea, birdwatch, and watch the sunrise. the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. the food was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. We also appreciated the prompt resolution of any issues we encountered, such as fixing the communal TV and providing additional pillows. a great stay with great amenities and a beautiful view site lounge over the water hole.
Felt right at home, couldn't ask for anything more.

During our Easter stay, we really liked the fact that the staff were very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensure that we had a pleasant stay. the food at the hotel was also great, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. We loved the stunning location of the hotel. the surrounding area was absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking scenery and an abundance of wildlife. It was truly a nature lover's paradise.
One of the worst aspects of our stay was the lack of cleanliness in our room. the shower and toilet were not up to standard and there were geckos all over the place.

During my stay at Gooderson, I was pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail and hospitality of the staff. One evening, it was pouring rain and we decided to skip dinner. To our surprise, someone from the staff came to check on us and even offered to bring us something to eat if the rain was a factor. Although we didn't take them up on the offer, it was a special touch of hospitality that made us feel valued as guests. Moreover, the dinner and breakfast provided delicious and varied options, including an excellent omelette cooked just for me. The location of the lodge was also ideal, as it was close to the game park, cheetah rehab, a lovely restaurant, and a craft spot.
